Helen L Hayden
Helen Hayden is an experienced soil microbial ecologist working in the field of microbe-plant-soil relationships in many different agriculture industries and native pastures. Her research highlights include publishing a reference book for farmers on soil health, soil biology and soilborne diseases with colleagues, studying disease suppression of Rhizoctonia solani AG8 infecting cereals using new technologies such as soil metatranscriptomics and metabolomics, and showing a direct link between soil chemical properties and the abundance of key nitrogen cycling genes.
