Fernando Vanegas Alvarez
Dr Fernando Vanegas is a Mechatronics Engineer with a masters in Electrical Engineering from Halmstad University in Sweden and a PhD in aerial robotics from Queensland University of Technology.
In his PhD thesis he developed a framework for online motion planning for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles to perform missions in GPS-denied environments.
He is currently a research fellow working with the intelligent airborne sensing lab at Queensland University of technology doing analysis of hyperspectral imagery for plant bio-security.
