KYLA FINLAY Science Protecting Plant Health 2017

KYLA FINLAY

Kyla has worked for the Victorian Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources (and its various incarnations) for the past 15 years. A stint working in the entomology department at the Natural History Museum in London has led to a lifelong love of entomology, taxonomy and scientific research. Throughout her career she has been involved in investigating the impact of climate change on plant biosecurity, investigating the role of alternative host plants on the exotic tomato-potato psyllid, and more recently understanding the significance of natural dispersal pathways into Australia and New Zealand.
