Dharmendra Singh Science Protecting Plant Health 2017

Dharmendra Singh

Presently, I am working as Postdoctoral Research Fellow at QAAFI, Centre of Plant Sciences, The University of Queensland. My project is molecular analysis of wheat-rust interaction through transcriptomics approach, where I am working on understanding the action mechanism of Lr34 gene using RNA-seq. Previously, I was working as Assistant Professor at Eternal University, HP, India. I did my Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, India. My research interests are molecular plant-pathogen interaction and defense signalling pathways. For that, I am learning and implementing new platforms such as CRISPR/Cas genome editing, GBS-genotyping for achieving sustainable resistance.
