Matevz Papp-Rupar
In 2010 I graduated the study Biotechnology, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. The thesis was already focused on plant pathology, i.e. molecular diversity of Flavescence doreé phytoplasma isolates.
During my postgraduate study at National Institute of Biology, Slovenia I focused on Potato virus Y (PVY), its detection, characterization and particle isolation from plat material. I spent some time at INRA, Rennes where we developed GFP-tagged PVY and tracked its localisation in vivo.
After PhD defense in 2014, I started postdoctoral research on University of Nottingham, on industry-academic project on application of UV-C induced plant defenses in commercial practice.
