Peri A Tobias Science Protecting Plant Health 2017

Peri A Tobias

Peri Tobias is a current PhD candidate in the School of Life and Environmental Sciences at the University of Sydney. She received the University Medal at the University of Sydney, 2013, and the National Council of Women Australia Day Award for women PhD's in science, 2017. Her principal interest is in plant: microbe interactions at the molecular level. She finds the host and microbe interaction fascinating because of the responses from attack and counter attack, commonly termed an arms race, leading to gene evolution at greater rates than would normally be expected.
