Toni A Chapman Science Protecting Plant Health 2017

Toni A Chapman

Toni has worked at the NSW Department of Primary Industries since 2009 as plant bacteriologist. Her primary focus is plant biosecurity through understanding and identifying bacterial pathogens through both traditional and genomic identification and characterization. This involves both endemic and exotic plant pathogens and taking this information to develop improved identification, diagnostics and surveillance for plant pests to provide a better biosecurity response. This work has been initially focused towards the genomic studies of Xanthomonas with the target pathogen Xanthomonas citri subsp citri.
