Belinda E Stummer Science Protecting Plant Health 2017

Belinda E Stummer

Belinda Stummer is a Research Scientist with the Soil Ecology and Biology Function Team at CSIRO, Agriculture and Food, Waite Campus, Adelaide. Previously Belinda was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Adelaide researching the genetics and epidemiology of fungal pathogens of grapevines and their impact on grape and wine quality. Her current research focuses on molecular ecology of soil-borne microbial communities in grain and sugarcane cropping systems. This includes investigating rhizosphere competence and functional attributes of plant-beneficial microbes and their roles in suppressing disease to improve productivity and sustainability of agricultural systems.
