Jens G Froese
Jens is a Geographer and Landscape Ecologist, educated at the University of Freiburg, Germany. He has previously worked for Biosecurity Queensland in various research- and policy-related capacities and most recently with CSIRO and The University of Queensland on his PhD project, where he modelled feral pig populations in northern Australia to aid risk-based management of infectious animal diseases. Jens is currently a postdoctoral research fellow at QUT, working with Dr Grant Hamilton to develop spatial risk models that help land managers and practitioners make better-informed biosecurity decisions.
